Privacy Policy

Paint (“the app”) is a native drawing app for Mac developed by Icefish. We designed it to be private by default.

We do not collect your data

The app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs. The app does not connect to the internet.

Everything stays on your Mac

Your images and all app preferences are stored locally on your Mac only. They never leave your device and are not sent to us or to any server. The app works fully offline.

Files you open and save

The app only reads and writes the image files you explicitly choose to open, save, or export through the standard macOS file dialogs. It runs inside the App Sandbox and has no access to any other files on your Mac.

Printing & sharing

When you use Print or Share, your image is handed to the standard macOS print and share services that you invoke. The destination (a printer, AirDrop, Mail, etc.) is chosen by you; Icefish does not receive or store anything.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Data deletion

Because all data is stored only on your Mac, you can delete it at any time by removing your image files or by uninstalling the app, which removes its preferences.

This website

Everything above describes the Paint app. This website (paint.icefish.uk) is separate, and uses Microsoft Clarity to measure how many people visit and how the page is used, so we can improve it. Clarity may set cookies and record anonymised, aggregated usage. It loads only after you accept the cookie banner — if you decline, no analytics cookies are set. This concerns the website only and does not change how the app handles your data. See Microsoft’s privacy statement for details.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
